Digital photography has been my hobby for a while now. I've started out with Digital Rebel XT when it first came out and upgraded to EOS 40D at Christmas.
I've been looking for a good quality telephoto lens that is good in low light condition (in door basketball, hockey, in door soccer etc..), and also fast enough to stop actions. I've heard so much about the L lenses but the high price tags has been keeping me away.
I've own 5 different lenses and this is by far my favorite. I am 5'4 asian girl with tiny hands, the weight bothers me at times but after seeing the quality of the images it is all worth it! The bokeh is just absolutely stunning; the background blended nicely without causing any distraction. Fast focusing and very quiet too! I would highly recommended this lens. I would also recommend getting a monopod though, to take the load off! Oh, and I would have given this a perfect 5 stars if it wasnt so heavy...but I guess I'm just being a little too picky? hehe |
