Buy the real thing

When I first got my camera, I tried to save money by getting the generic 'equivalent' battery. Big mistake. After fully charging it, the camera would take a few pictures before showing low battery. I kept on shooting anyway, just to see what would happen. It didn't turn off, but I noticed that the side of the camera became much hotter than when shooting with the Canon brand battery. I tossed the generics and bought the real one, and have had no trouble since.
Don't try to be cheap; go directly to name brand. |
