A nice lens

| I've had this lens for about two weeks now and have hardly taken it off my Rebel XTi since it arrived. The thing I was really missing after switching from a point and shoot to a DSLR was the zoom range I had. Now it's back and this lens is great. As others have commented it's a little noisy in autofocus and sometimes it hunts for the focus but usually when I'm trying to get something at infinity (often with some other stuff closer to me just off the focus spot) - switching to manual focus is a quick and easy fix for both these problems. But to be honest most of the time I use it in autofocus and it works fine. Check out my flickr stream for examples. A lot of the shots you'll see there are hand held in lowish light (I'm at work when the light is bright). |
