Honest to goodness, this is the best $20 you'll ever spend if you like to cook. No kidding. So much easier than a blender since you don't have a blender to clean -- the blade end twists off and you can put it in the top rack of your dishwasher. I
have had mine for years and it is going strong. Great for pureed soups and dips and dressings.
You need to become facile with positioning so you don't wind up with hot splattering liquid, so be sure you are careful until you get the hang of it. Try to pool liquid/soup so it covers the blades, for example. Don't try to do a very small amount of something that is liquid else you might be burned and/or make a mess. This used to come with a kind of tall plastic cup that made the most out of small amounts and gave you some protection from making a mess. If it no longer does, I would get something like this. Then you can also store it in this cup -- standing on your counter. |
