an unacceptably bad binocular regardless of how low the price
|
Pros:
-lightweight and compact for a 32mm roof prism binoc
-comfortable shape to hold
-decently wide apparent angle of view
Cons:
-focusing is difficult, and maintaining focus in both sides simultaneously is difficult or impossible (even with the diopter properly adjusted), caused by plently of slack in the focusing mechanism
-shallow depth of field, requiring frequent refocusing (which is difficult at best)
-very short eye relief (and wearing glasses is out of the question)
-dim image despite the moderate-sized 32mm objectives
The other similar-looking 12x32s are essentially the same binocular with a different brand name. 12x32 is too much magnification (too shaky and too narrow a true angle of view) for most hand-held purposes anyway. The similar 10x25 is not so bad, and the 8x21 is better still. |
