The 3.0 inch screen is a must have and I will never go back to using a camera with a smaller screen. The 3.0 inch screen makes it so much easier to see details when composing and viewing your photos and also much more enjoyable for movie playback. I do not miss having an optical viewfinder as I rarely if ever even used it anyway. The 28mm wide angle zoom lens is tops as is the image stabilization. Even the movie mode is great and I use it for doing videos more than my video camera. I think this camera is money well spend given all the features. Having a small pocketable camera that can go with you everywhere is a powerful thing. I bought the black one and like how it looks.
