Good, but not excelent.

Of course you can take some nice pictures with it, but the lack of buttons to access all the functions of the camera is a drawback:
1) You cannot switch between movie and picture underwater. You have to select what you want before you close the case and dive.
2) You have to be careful not to press the Exposure Compensation button and then the button to increase it, because you will not be able to decrease it. I accidentally pressed those two buttons trying to change the setting for the flash and all my remaining pictures in that dive were overexposed and spoiled.
3) It would be very nice to have access to the White-Balance Preset feature of the camera, so we can compensate for the lack of reds and other colors that afect the sunlight as we go deeper. It is not so easy to fix that with an image manipulation sofware like Adobe Photoshop or others.
4) A more advanced feature that I wish I had access to is to change the iso setting underwater. In the auto mode, the camera very often selects a low iso setting and the pictures come out blurred.
Other problems are due to the camera itself, like not even showing the aperture and speed let alone allows us to control them. |
