This camera is VERY disappointing!!

| Unboxed the camera this afternoon and took some test shots under medium light conditions, and importantly, some "HD" video (1280x720). I've been eagerly awaiting a camera that would take better than 640x480 video. Picture quality is appalling - shots full of grain, poor compression. My Canon SD700IS blows it out of the water, not even comparable despite similar price range. The video was unwatchable unless mounted on a tripod as there clearly is no image stabilization (and the compression does not handle movement well). This will be returned immediately. Will give the newly announced Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 a try when it comes out in a couple months. Sorry Kodak, was really hoping for more!! |
