Plain old luck of the draw?!?

| Jeez! After wading through the mess of 1 and 2 star reviews on this thing, I must have gotten REALLY lucky with the one I got! I've had mine for over three years now, and it still works great. Maybe it's the light use mine sees or something. It's mainly used for scanning documents and pictures, but I print with it once every couple of weeks and it has been working great! The only real gripe I have with it is the thing drinks ink like a fish does water. I'm sure I've spent well over 5 times the original cost of the thing on ink. I can't really fault that, as it seems to be about par for the course with every other printer in the same price range as this was. I've been shuffling my picture printing duties between this and a Canon ip4200 and I've had good luck with both despite the influx of negative reviews on both of them. I should probably add that I shoot some compressed air in mine every month or so to keep it a little less dusty. Perhaps that alone is the stroke of luck I seem to have with these things... |
