Cannot install.. tried everything...

| The bundled install disk was corrupted. There was not a single scratch on the disk but my computer, and a few friends, could not read the disk. HP said to just download and install the drivers off their website. This does not work either. After downloading and running the most up to date drivers I get an error every time saying at least one file could not be found. The software then rolls back and forces me to restart. There is no "restart later" or "cancel" buttons after or during the installation. I just have to wait till it screws up (or end the process in the task manager). Windows cannot install the printer either, it's just error after error. I've tried everything including manually installing the drivers that were unpacked by the drivers off the website and it's still missing files. I can't even review the products actual use because I can't get the damn thing to work. I've even paid someone to come over and try to install it but they run into the same problems. HP's software is horrible and their support hasn't helped me at all. |
