Rhinotek's Canon BCI-24B and BCI-24C Compatible Ink Cartridge Twin Pack (RCBCI24-BC) description
The RCBCI24-BC from Rhinotek is a two-pack of replacement ink cartridges, equivalent to Canon's BCI-24B and BCI-24C. With both black and tri-color (cyan, magenta, yellow) ink cartridges, this pack has everything you need to get started printing right away. With a yield of approximately 300 pages for black and 170 pages for color, these Rhinoteks deliver about as many prints as Canon's cartridges, while possibly saving you money. Designed to work with a wide variety of Canon printers, these cartridges will not void your printer's warranty. A 30-day return/exchange warranty is also provided. Compatible printers include Canon i250, i320, i350, i450, i455, i470D, i475D, MultiPASS F20, MultiPASS MP360, MultiPASS MP370, MultiPASS MP390, PIXMA iP1500, PIXMA iP2000, PIXMA MP130, S200, S300, and S330. |

Not sure if it's this ink tank or the printer that's lousy....
|
I bought this ink tank twin pack recently, and the color cartridge worked great. However, everything I printed from the black ink tank came out badly smeared. Now, I've had some smearing problems with the printer before, so it might not be entirely the fault of the ink tank -- however, I've never seen the printer smear pages this badly before, with lines striping through the pages and most of the words nigh unreadable. After messing around with the printer for a while (cleaning it, aligning the cartridge, etc.) things began to look a little better, when suddenly the ink tank ran out of ink. I think I got 3 good pages printed out in all -- not the 300 pages of printing promised, and not nearly as satisfying as buying the more expensive name brand version. But maybe I just got a dud. Anyway, the color cartridge did work nicely, and I bought two of these twin packs, so I'll give the second black ink cartridge a try soon.
UPDATE: The second black ink tank is working nicely, although I did have to use the printer's "clean ink head" and alignment functions a few times to get it running smothly. But now it's perfect, and the b&w printing looks very sharp. |
