| Simply fantastic.
I was in Germany for the World Cup in June and by accident, found myself attending a Sangalo concert before Brazil's first match in the tournament. The music was incredible and the great crowd simply added to the experience. I've listened to her CDs since finding out who she was and if nothing else, her music helps me re-live all the great experiences I had at the World Cup. Thankfully, her music is much more than that, giving one an idea of what it means to be a Brazilian, with its energy and rhythm. She has such a distinctive voice, with great range and expression. In a way, it's almost soothing. This is a great concert to watch, simply a great show. Everytime I watch it, I want to learn Portuguese! It looked to be a great experience and I am counting the days until I visit Brazil to experience some of its magic. I'll be listening to Ivete on my iPod as I make my way to Copacabana Beach! |
