♥♥♥♥ Not as great as I remembered, but still a pretty good movie
One of my favorite movies is Adrian Lyne's version of "Lolita", so when I went on Amazon to find out what other movies he has directed, I was surprised to see this in the list (not as surprising as 9 1/2 weeks, but still...) I had seen this a few years back and remembered loving the visuals and being stunned by the ending. Watching it now, I still like some of the effects and the story still has some emotional weight, but it just isn't as engaging as it was the first time...especially since I now know how it ends. At least Elizabeth PeA a is as hot as I remembered...

That said, if you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it; especially given the low price. The moods captured by Lyne are both troubling and poignant, the special effects are ahead of their time and pretty much every performance is spot-on for the respective characters.
