| My 4 year old is way into dinosaurs and the stuff that is out there is either to adult (Jurassic Park) for him to watch, or too boring and stupid (Land Before Time) for me to watch with him.
I purchased season 1 last week. As I was about 4-6 while the show originally ran, I didn't know what to expect and only had fuzzy, dreamlike memories of the sleezstak's etc. To put it mildly, the show is really really bad. Bad acting, bad writing, bad effects. HOWEVER it is still really good in some weird way and I'm amazed at all the stuff that I actually remember, scenes, plots, etc. So for me it's fun to watch just to put all of those pieces of the puzzle together. For my son however, its an absolutely great show. He loves the Grumpy and other dino's. He loves to be scared by the sleezstaks, and is amazed by the giant fruit and how bad Cha Ka's teeth are. I can watch him veiwing the show and realize that he is reacting exactly like I did almost 30 years ago. Sorta cool. |
