One of my favorite albums!
|
| I'll keep this short: This is one of my favorite albums! All of the songs chosen for this production are absolute classics! The arrangements are some of the best I've heard! Out of all the different versions of these songs done by all the various artists over the years, the Commitments versions are some of the best I've heard. You would be hard pressed to find a better version of 'I Can't Stand the Rain' (except for maybe Aretha's). I loved the movie as well, but I had to put on the English sub-titles to understand it. I recommend whole-heartedly this movie to anyone interested in clever, funny, slightly raunchy but quality entertainment. And if you like classic rock and R&B, you will love the soundtrack. |
