| This is an excellent movie for all ages with all the elements; romance, comedy (a bit quirky at times), adventure, values, drama and tragedy (though the tragedy does not overwhelm the film or ruin the enjoyment of the story) and the cinematography is exceptional. I had seen this movie years ago and encouraged my family to watch it recently with me. They loved it and we have all added it to our top films list. It's rare to find a film with such heart and the dynamics of human nature, especially without being completely depressing. It's good to see a character with such high ethics and such good values, come out on top in the end. I get sooo tired of seeing movies that if someone is good, that the only point that can be made, is that something horrible happens and they end up losing in the end. But not in this one! Wonderful, diverse characters in a wonderful and diverse setting; from the slums to beautiful, lush country side. Watch this movie and make sure to share it with family and friends. |
