One of my children (a kindergartner) was having trouble with his reading. These videos with my assistance have helped him immeasurably. The videos are very entertaining even to some degree for adults. They use CGI and hand drawn cartoons and live action video to create memorable images for the child. They use music and comedy to convey what they are trying to teach and it is done with a "G" rating and they don't try to substitute morality issues for learning or slip in political messages. It's straight reading and writing. It's pricey, but it's also 8 hours of video learning that children will enjoy. It's divided into many segments so if your child is bored you can shut it off and pick it up again later.
