| This film could have been great if it had more action. Oliver Platt is a terrific bad guy who is totally underused. This movie had the potential to be a classic but it's lack of action, even in the climax, makes it lame. I think Ed Burns is a good actor but this movie was way too timid for a gritty mob movie. I wonder why they chinced on the action. Elijah Wood is definitely miscast but it doesn't matter because the rest of the cast, especially Platt, are wasted. It's almost like the bad guys are more interesting than the good guys. This could have been GREAT! | |
