The less said the better
|
Le Chevalier d'Eon is still on the right track and has become one of those sleeper hits to me. And just like I said in the title. Less said the better. This is a series that excels on its suspense. Volume 5 has enough of that in combination with some very intense conflicts.
A possible war between France and England looms. d'Eon and his faction arranged Durant's release. Even though wounded he's still very strong and this time has his own agenda. In fact thats what this volume is mostly about. Hidden agenda's blanket this volume. It moved at a good pace and never became slow. I really don't want to continue further because its difficult to do so without adding spoilers.
This is the best volume so far. I'm really looking forward to the final volume. This contains episodes 16-20. If you made it this far, I don't see any reason to stop. I really hope they don't drop the ball with the ending. Something anime has a very bad habit of doing. |
