Like others, I taped the miniseries CHIEFS when first broadcast and have enjoyed watching it ever since; in fact, last year I burned a copy of my worn old VHS tape into disc since it appears it won't be released anytime soon in region 1. I would suspect there is a contractual reason [perhaps Heston himself? I understand he always thought he gave one of his best performances in the flm...] it has not yet been released.
CHIEFS is one of those rare films whose story not only spans decades- but which laso stands up well even today with its topical subject matter. |
