A great concert
|
| I discovered Engelbert late in life (even though I'm almost the same age as he is), and this is the first video I saw of him. I think I've watched it at least 100 times - he's funny, sexy, light on his feet, and great with the audience - all on top of the best voice ever! Since this one, I've acquired several more, and love them all. The sound on this one has a few flaws, but this one, the one from 1985 (at Royal Albert Hall), and the latest (Totally Amazing) are all favorites. I also got a big kick out of the 1967-1970 DVD. His voice is unmatched and he has always looked great. I still can't understand why it took so long for him to become a star. |
