Superpitcher Happiness
|
Superpitcher's video about Happiness is perhaps the best on this CD, a collection of eccentric and sometimes wildly creative music videos. There are elements of disconnection, as you would expect in a world of electronic music. As if struggling to retain our humanity, the images blur and focus and try to capture elements of the natural while delving into the computer age.
The videos range from hauntingly beautiful (the first video is filmed in water and is very romantic) to interesting (mosaics of images swirl on the screen) to disconcerting (broken images and faces morphing) and sometimes purely enlightening (metaphors in motion).
I can't say I enjoyed all the videos, but the ones I did find to enjoy were very meaningful. Most of the videos were a little too edgy and experimental for my tastes, but this might be exactly what you are looking for. I loved Superpitcher's video the most and it even inspired a poem, well a descriptive poem. I loved figuring out what the images represented in the emotional realm.
