| I adore Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. It's one of those far-too-rare shows that entertain the entire family. I've found the older you are, the better it is, because you appreciate every level of humour. It's a brilliant show, both in terms of the writing and the visuals.
It is not an episodic show; You can pick it up and start watching anywhere. But for those not familiar with the show, it centers on eight-year-old Mac and his imaginary friend Bloo. Bloo lives in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, in essence an amazing orphanage for imaginary friends who are no longer wanted by their children. Mac and Bloo, suffice it to say, have many exploits, and hilarity ensues. The heart of this show is the relationship between Mac and Bloo. You can really feel an emotional connection at the core of everything they do. The entire show is truly wonderful, and worth owning. |
