Roger Moore and Susannah York will rock you in GOLD. Go underground, way underground in this outstanding adventure romance film from director Peter Hunt. Roger Moore gives one of his best performances in a well defined and charismatic character and he truly demonstrates more depth as an actor than he has been given credit. Moore makes this film work. Also, Bradford Dillman turns in a very villainous performance and Ray Milland at this point in his career had the corner playing grumpy old men. Stanley Price's screenplay is full of energy and emotion and it has gone unrecognized long enough. Elmer Bernstein's score is dynamic and well suited to the characters and action that unfolds and it certainly compliment s the excellent performances and Stanley Price's screenplay. GOLD rocks!
