| I saw this in a big Philadelphia theatre when I was 10 with my brother. Going to the movies was a big treat then not like now where kids watch movies every day. I loved it, my brother thought it was boring.(And he was two years older!) For years I looked for this. I could never find it until 2002. Yes, the print is terrible but it's better than nothing. The mine scenes are terrifying and look really dangerous and realistic. The story is compelling and it has a GREAT ending. This is Moore's most underrated film . And Peter Hunt is also underrated. He made many fine films. I will buy it again if a new copy comes out but that is unlikely since it has ended up in the public domain. It's obvious no one cares about this exciting film. A great opening song also! | |
