Guyver - Days of Future Past (Vol. 1) description
Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor (2005) is the fifth adaptation of Yoshiki Takaya's long-running manga: the animated feature, Guyver: Out of Control came out in 1986, followed in 1989 by a 12-part OVA; Mark Hamill appeared in two live-action movies in 1992 and 1994. While hanging out together, high school sophomore Sho Fukamachi and his friend Tetsuro Segawa find a lost component from a sinister biomedical experiment. Sho inadvertently turns it on, and is seized by an octopus-like creature that gives him the ability to control the super-mecha suit, the Guyver. Without understanding how he's doing it, Sho finds himself battling monstrous "Zoanoids"--and being drawn into a sinister plot to create human bioweapons. A flashy combination of traditional and CG animation, Guyver offers all the elements of a classic mecha adventure. The extras include interesting juxtapositions of animated scenes and Takaya's original manga panels. (Rated TV MA V, suitable for ages 14 and older: violence, grotesque imagery, brief nudity, tobacco use) --Charles Solomon

♥♥♥♥ A roller coaster ride that sees you dead!
My review is mostly to warn people about this series. Now, I will admit that this was an excellent series. The first 6 volumes were great. But the last one killed what was good about this series. Volume 7 really did render this series worthless. All the people who gave this first volume high praise and followed the Guyver series and loved it. Have very good reasons. Its just the ending. It was horrible. I'm spoiling this for you people for a reason. I want you to know this series isn't worth spending your hard earned cash and keeping it. If you must see it, rent it. Thanks to the very last 3 episodes, this series was the biggest waste of time. I can't think of anything worst. If you like half baked endings with no closure whatsoever then follow this series. I'm not saying to ignore the high rated reviewers and only listen to me. They all followed this series and to me they wrote honest reviews. But I'm sure most of them will eventually feel the way i do and trash the ending to this series. I see this new Guyver series very very cheap in the near future.
