the film is a series of interviews with graphic designers about type and how they work with it. the documentary makes no attempt to combine these various and occasionally conflicting statements - the format worked for me appropriately, the film exhibits striking graphic design, leveraging rich urban and industrial material. i enjoyed the sound track as well examples from historical movements within graphic design were compelling, and provided embodiment to the familiar terms "modern", "post-modern", etc |
