| I own over 50,000 films and "Make Mine Mink" is one of my favorites. Why? It is incredibly funny, heartwarming, and it reminds me of a different age altogether- when comedy was actually funny. The actors are all superb and blend together beautifully, but I must comment on the divine Elspeth Duxbury who plays "Pinkie." To watch her running down the stairs with her police whistle, accompanied by xylophone music is utterly delightful. How often do you get to watch an adult experiencing the pure bliss of a child? Sometimes, its not the great classics with many layers of meaning that I want to see- its the films that actually make me feel happy- and this is definitely one of them. |
