Don't Waste Your Money

| This product is a complete waste of money. There is no sound, but some tacky music, and they don't start from the basic sounds. It is just some people saying random words, and then it shows up on the screen what they said. It must have cost them very little to create this series, and they are selling it for a huge amount of money compared to other DVDs. Most people will not bother to return them because they don't like them. It is the sort of thing one buys because one has a hearing lose, and puts away and forgets about forever. I rented a one at the public library. If they wanted to make a good product, they would have hired a real teacher to present lessons. I have been taking group lessons from a very skilled teacher, and there is an entire theory behind speech reading. No one could be expected to learn from this series. Look for a class instead. I was able to find another VHS tape called "I See What You Say", and it did have basic princples of lip reading, and I was going to suggest this as an alternate purchase, but it is not here on Amazon Com. |
