Not very good
|
| I really did enjoy The Hound of the Baskervilles, and it's a shame they had to waste the talent of Basil Rathbone in this B grade movie. I would not object to a different plot other than a one of the originals by Conan Doyle, but I would have preferred a Victorian setting. I found the movie to be cheesy, and very dated. Right from the beginning, I knew it would follow the typical formula from so many other similar movies from this time period. There are no subtitles on the DVD. I need subtitles to be able to fully understand the dialogue due to hearing loss. Kudos to Retroplex for subtitling this movie so I could understand it. This movie is a not keeper for a collector, but something to watch once and never again. Therefore, I would not recommend buying this DVD. Get The Hound of the Baskervilles instead. |
