what a absolutely wonderful show........

| I donot own this DVD yet, but I was there, 3rd row at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland Ohio to see this show....drove from Dayton [maybe 3.5 hours] by myself to take this, basically, one off show before they called it quits....if my memory is correct, they only played what, 6,7,8 shows, then said goodbye??? I have followed Yes for about 30 years, seen them 29 times [wow], so I was'nt going to let this opportunity to see Chris Squire, in another musical element....not knowing that it would as short lived as it was...what a high energy, fun, just absolutely great show it was...Squire and White played off each other all night [heck, they've had enough practice at it]....true, Steve Nardelli was a bit stiff, does'nt have much stage presence, but his vocals, in it's sort of 'innocent' way, were perfect for this band at this time in it's history....and the other fellows in the band are very good players in their own right...again, not seeing this video, but seeing the 'real deal' in the flesh, if you are a fan of Yes, Chris Squire, Alan White, or have listened to the Syndestructible disc and liked it, I would easily recommend this DVD....I feel privileged to have seen this live, and I wish they had more music for us to enjoy!!! |
