One Of The Worst In WWE History
|
This is one of the WORST WWE PPV's of all time. A majority of matches were fillers that were thrown together at the last minute with no real storyline or reasoning behind it.
United States Champion John Cena vs. Booker T vs. RVD vs. Rene Dupri - What does it say about a PPV when the best match of the night was the opening match. It was fast paced between all four & didn't turn into a big cluster. However just like a majority of four way matches, the eliminations happen one after another after another but still, the match of the night...but that's not saying much.
Charlie Hass vs. Luther Reigns - This was made one minute earlier based off a backstage segment with Kurt Angle. Nobody had a reason to care about this beforehand & the fact that Reigns is heavily green didn't make the match better either. It was bad.
Crusierweight Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero - The division is finally back on track after the embarrising storylines involving Jacqueline & Chavo Classic as champion. These two rarely disappoint in their encounters & this was no exception but they've had better matches with each other throughout the year.
Billy Gunn vs. Kenzo Suzuki - Kenzo was just another man WWE put on TV because of his size & nothing more since his in ring skills were just horrible & Billy Gunn himself is one of the best tag team wrestlers in wrestling history but just much in singles competition. Another boring filler.
Torrie Wilson vs. Sable - These two are only good when it comes to T&A type matches but they tried to make this a legit wrestling match and it came off poorly (see a pattern here?).
Hardcore Holly vs. Mordecai - Follows the same pattern as the Hass/Reigns & Gunn/Suzuki match. It was horrible.
Bullrope Match: WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. JBL - This match looks better than it is in comparrison to the rest of the crap they got this night but on it own, I really didn't care for this match as I enjoyed their Judgment Day & the steel cage match on SmackDown tons better than this. Yes it was bloody but a majority of JBL's main event matches have him being busted open so that's nothing special. They're was a part in this match that Eddie hits the frog splash off the top of one corner (you have to touch the corner to perform the move) & touches the other three corners which means technically he won the match but they didn't call it while they did a screwjob ending later on which gives JBL the World Title. Again, I just didn't enjoy this match.
Concrete Crypt Match: Undertaker vs. Dudley Boyz - What a crappy way to end a crappy PPV as Undertaker for the most part beat up the WWE Tag Team Champions with Paul Heyman running his mouth non-stop for most of the match until the end when Taker won the match & scarred off Heyman & ended up buring Paul Bearer in the concrete himself. Wrestlecrap at it's finest.
WWE brought back an old WCW/NWA PPV that had alot of history behind it & delievered the worst show in the history of this event. I suggest you save your money & pass, your not missing anything special. |
