A Genuinely Great Christmas Concert

| I personally attended one of the dates of this concert in December 2003 and was stunned by how pleasureable it was. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir showed excellent taste by inviting two world-class singers like Terfel and Von Stade to appear with them. Not only does Terfel have a voice that can melt steel, but he is enormously charming. At one point during the show he proudly displayed the Welsh flag he has sewn into the lining of his overcoat. The choir was founded long ago with help from singers from Wales who had emigrated to Utah, so it seemed fitting that Terfel was there. If you love classical Christmas music, you shouldn't miss this DVD. |
