a loosely crafted screenplay

with slow tempo scenario and plot. the osaka yakuza guy in this movie was pathetically portrayed as a brainless, stupid shabu junkie and wimp who fell in love with an originally innocent and pretty college student who later became his lover and helplessly trashed her life as a junkie too. the storyline is quite boring and stalemate enough. you might hope it could end sooner than drag along so slowly and tasteless. full of two bits yakuza small timers, none of them respectfully portrayed.
two occasions of love-making scenes are quite realistic with arousing moans and acts but, what for? this is not about how the yakuza guy made love to that young waitress again and again but a stormy relationship.
i just couldn't believe that robbed a gambling joint and then killed two cops on duty only got 15 years in japanese prison. the movie is a bit too long , really need some patience to go through it. watchable, but definitely could be skipped if you're smart enough. not worth your high praise anyway. |
