Plus if you weren't in direct line site of the transmiter, forget it. When they were close to each other, you did get sound. Ya, the sound from a channel on my tv. Changing channel selections on the unit got rid of the tv, but the sound was like that of a old $2 am radio. My recommendation is to go out to Radio Shack and buy some mini plug extentions, and forget about the wireless idea.
