Yea Baby.....Wow.

This TV replaced a Sony 32 inch TV. Yes, after 9 years, the Sony died. I had been talking about a wide screen TV for the past 6 months, so when it died, I was 'accused' of tampering with it! No, I did not.....
Now, onto the review...... the old TV was 160 lbs - this one 60 lbs. nice.
I had purchased an entertainment center about a year and a half ago that housed my 32 inch Sony, so now I also had to 'tweak' the furniture! Not a problem though..... it now looks great.
Picture quality is superb! My wife and I just said...... WOW. Yup, we we amazed at how clear the picture is..... WOW. Then we discovered the High Def channels (via the free airways), and more WOW. Hooked up the DVD player and more WOW.... our DVDs looked even better than before!
Sound is absolutely fine. I saw some reviews having issues..... hey, if you want theater sound, then but a theater sound system. For my needs, this is great.
Tech support is great. I had an issue with a DVD player hookup (I used those $2.00 cables from Amazon..... they did not work. I initially was in contact with India.... then was passed to the US support... both people handled the call perfectly!
I did a lot of research on the net before purchasing this item. I went to a local Circuit City store to see what it looked like.... have to tell you that the other TVs there looked SOOOOOO much better. Maybe it was the lighting, or the viewing angle cause the DLP set did not look as good - not even close. I still opted for it based on the reviews. I was right it had to be the lighting/angle in the store, for the picture is amazing in HD.
You are getting a lot more TV for the $$ vs the Plasma or LCD TVs. If you need to hang it on a wall, then the DLP TV is out. But, it you have the room, like I did, this TV is the way to go!
