Average HDTV. Great dimensions for small spaces
|
I got this TV only because it was the biggest TV that would fit into my existing entertainment center. The TV is nice looking and has lots of inputs (3 HDMI). The remote is the best I've ever had. The TV has lots of adjustments to fine tune the picture. The Sound is just OK, but very nice when run through a receiver and Surround Sound. There are controls (ON/OFF, Volume, Channel change) on the right side (when facing the TV) that can't be reached if the TV is in a small space.
Now for the picture. The SD picture is not very good. There are other HDTV's that show SD much better. If you are only going to watch standard definition signal on this TV, you will probably be disappointed. If you use an HD signal you will get a decent picture. There are so many ways to adjust the picture, I can tinker with it to get a pretty good picture. The viewing angle is not the greatest and some of the colors are not completely accurate as indicated in the review on [...], check it out. I agree with it.
I am overall happy with it , but I am not blown away. I am not any kind of techie or HD snob, just an average joe who is now getting into the HDTV game.
I also have a 42" Panasonic 720p Plasma TV that has a much better picture.
I also notice some delay or blur during fast action. I think its because of the 60hz refresh rate. If you watch a lot of fast stuff like NASCAR you might want to comapre with a TV with a 120hz refresh rate.
If I was not restricted by the size of the space the TV was going into and had a bigger area to work with, I definitely would not have chosen this TV, but it works good for me with the space I have.
