♥♥♥♥♥ yamaha is good
this is a replasment to a three year old pioneer 5.1 receiver;i wanted somthing beter, i looked around a bit and it was ether a harman kardon 5.1, sony 6.1 or panasonic 6.1 (don't buy -audio- equpment from -electronics- pepole)the yahama was the right choise. the sound is butiful; very natrual warm and clear and powerful (it says 85 wats but it's not: at 8 ohmes it is 105) and a lot of a/v in's and out's, compomint video swithing (very usefull).it's hooked up to a pear of (great) hitchi floorstanding 10"s in front, cambridge soundworks center, a pioneer back center and surounds and awia sub (soon to be a yamaha 10", the back center and surounds will be replased as well), toshiba DVD player, magnavox DVD burner, panasonic VCR and satilite box; it makes a good switch between all the componits.
and if you feel like it it WILL ratel the windos.
a word on the remote; it's a unaversal, so that's usfull but the multy use buttens have triped me up once or twice but its not a problem.
I highly recomend this receiver.
