My wife was concerned about all the severe weather here in W. Ky. and she wanted one of these alert radios. SHE IS HAPPY WITH IT. Need I say more? Seriously, it works and appears reliable. We have set it to alert us for only those counties around us, and don't have to listen to alerts in Mo. or Ark. And we set it for only those alerts relevant to our locale. Ex: I don't need off shore info here in the hills. Also, at the push of a button we get the latest Nat'l. Weather reports for our part of the world.
