♥♥♥♥♥ Great tv
I have had this tv for a couple of weeks and it has performed very well so far. HD picture quality is incredible. SD picture quality is pretty good. For now that's the trade off. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the speakers too.

I had trouble figuring out how to take off the stand as well. Curiously it's not even mentioned in the manual. Over the phone customer support was completely useless. I found out how to remove the stand after some digging on the Sony website. You DO NOT have to remove the entire back panel to take off the stand as stated by another reviewer. That is what Sony told me over the phone and I didn't buy it. There are 10 screws on the back of the tv near the center at the bottom. The 8 screws closest to the bottom center of the tv have to be removed and then the stand can be pulled off.
