| I bought this Sub to use with the system in my garage and it works great. It provides the clear crisp bass responce that is exactly what I was looking for. My garage is a finished space 22x40 with cabinets, countertop, TV, and audio equipment on one side. I have a Harman Kardon 3485 driving a pair of JBL L830's. The sound was good, but not enough to fill the space. I mounted the sub about 2 feet down from the cieling in the center of the garage facing the cabinets. It is perfect! Just enough bass to complete the sound in the entire area. With that being said; I also have two entertainment systems in the house, both using bose Accumast 10 systems. I tested the Yamaha Sub on on one system with a Harman AVR 745, replacing the bose sub. There is no comparison...the bose smokes it! This does not produce the same punch, or quality of sound as the bose on my equipment. OK, this sub was $75 and does exactly what I wanted, the Bose is several times this much money and does a great job for it's use as well. Bottom line - If you are looking for that crazy cool sound from your video equipment, perfect definition, pictures shaking, dogs barking, and neighbors that are wondering what is going on...this is not for you! If you are looking for a good sounding sub for your audo or video setup at a inexpensive price, this one is great. |
