Good Player, Poor Software

I have owned this for two weeks. This player has all the bells and whistles but some are useless. The screen is too small for viewing photos or videos, so why include?
The accompanying software is junk. No MP3 conversion controls (button or menus) show as they are described in User Guide. Cowon "support" did not resolve even when I sent screen-prints. So, I use ITunes to convert and transfer instead. CD-based User Guide is average at best. Almost all controls are on the joystick. This keeps the unit compact, but expect lots of tinkering before you learn it. I wonder how the joystick will hold up. |
