The sub's bass output stems from its 8-inch, long-throw, composite cone driver and 2-inch, four-layer voice coil, which combine to deliver a frequency range of 34 to 250 Hz. The driver cone is also extremely stiff, helping it act like a piston throughout its operating range to minimize distortion. Add in a massive magnetic motor assembly and high-temperature component parts and you have a sub that's equal parts performance and reliability. Power-wise, the 102SB is outfitted with a 100-watt, high-current amplifier that's been precision matched and equalized to the driver. This ensures powerful, controlled bass with great articulation and authority. The sub's sealed enclosure design, meanwhile, also helps keep distortion at a minimum while enhancing the deep bass output.
