| I bought the kit that has the solution plus a couple of soft cloths a while ago, and have used it many times. Of course it cannot reclaim extremely damaged discs, but I've used it to take discs that skipped so badly that they couldn't be played back to the point of being playable. It's also good for simple cleaning.
You simply rub a few drops of the solution on the disc and buffer (rub outwards only!) to clean, and for scratches you clean first and then apply some solution, allow it to dry, and then buff. It pays for itself if it saves only 1 disc, so I'd recommend it before trying any of the various mechanical devices for sale. |
