Kreisen DCM-17WT 17" Widescreen LCD TV description The Kreisen DCM-17WT features a high-quality, 17-inch LCD made by LG.Philips, an internal NTSC tuner for convenient broadcast-TV viewing, and a 1,280 x 768 WXGA-resolution picture for crystal-clear imagery with high-definition display via its analog PC input. A high (400:1) contrast ratio, an exceptional peak brightness of 500 candles/square meter, and wide (120 x 150-degrees, vertical/horizontal) viewing angles mean you'll have a rich, exciting picture you can watch from just about anywhere in the room. LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch "flyback" noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life (with no risk of image burn-in), space savings, light weight/easy positioning, and energy efficiency (most LCDs use substantially less power than their CRT equivalents). They also tend to be more affordable than their flat-panel plasma counterparts, which often (though not always) offer faster response times and higher contrast ratios. The set accommodates 4 video sources: high-definition analog PC (D-Sub 15-pin), composite-video, S-video, and RF coaxial video (as for an antenna or an older VCR or cable box).
