KEF KHT2005.2 is the later model of KHT series and it is going to be replaced by KHT3005. That's why the price is dropped a lot especially the silver color. It was around $1,500 few years ago.
Whoever is considering to buy home theater sattelite speaker (especially who are considering BOSE), you must listen KEF KHT2005.2. Is it your taste? Well..you will decide by yourself. But you will be regret if you don't listen 2005.2 before making decision.
My friend who are serious amature of audiophile more than 30 years came to my home and listen to this set. His comment is "best satelite speaker for music I have ever heard".
I have a chance to listen to KEF KHT3005 and I accept that it is really wonderful. But I am pretty sure that the quality of 2005.2 is not different to 3005 in small room (like 9x9 feet). But now you pay only one third of 3005. However, if budget is not your problem, you go for 3005. It absoultely beats all BOSE's satelite system and many famous bookshelf speakers in the market.
At $500, you can even take it and consider later if it is limited supplying. |
