LG LF-D7150 Micro DVD/CD Player System Customer Reviews

♥♥♥♥ Don't buy this if you listen to classical music!
In general, this is a feature-rich and good-sounding system, as the cNet editors and others have noted.

However, the CD player inserts a moment of silence between tracks (sounds like mistracking), which is irritating if you listen to opera, multi-tracked movements in longer classical pieces, or any CD which is intended to play continuously across tracks. This is true both for commercially-produced CDs and CD-Rs.

After trying several units to make sure this wasn't a failure in one unit, we called LG, whose "support" people insisted that this is a "feature" rather than a "flaw," indicating surprise that anyone would object to the insertion of a silence of arbitrary length between tracks on a CD--even when the CD's producers had intended the sound to be continuous!

LG refused to allow us to return the unit for a refund, as it "performed as it was intended, and was therefore not defective." So their customer service policy has nothing to do with customer "satisfaction"; rather it is focused on company satisfaction--and LG is satisfied with this product as it stands.

I'd avoid it, if I were you; once you get one, you're stuck with it!
