Pretty gosh darn good cases

| I purchased these cases for a collection I have of costly DVDs (YMAA Jwing-Ming series of martial arts seminar) The cases these DVDs came in weren't to my satisfaction...the release mechanisms were somewhat intractable and each time I removed the DVD from the case I would have to bend the DVDs pretty severely. These DVD cases solved my problem. These cases have about everything you'd want in a case: easy release mechanism, ability to slip the old cover into the new sleeve (so the DVDs still look official). There is one thing that I don't like, however. On the inside of the case is a plastic tab build into the crease. The purpose, I assume, is to press down on the DVD in order to keep it level after closing. Sometimes the tab slips under the DVD and that worries me a bit. Maybe they thought too much on that concept. I haven't cut the tab off as I am careful when closing the cases, but one could easily remove the tab, I think. So I took 1 star off. But they're good cases, don't hesitate to purchase them. |
