Works Great with Newer Burners
|
These disks work great with a Pioneer DVR-112D burner (installed in an Apple PowerMac G5 2.7 Dual). Now that 8x writing to REWRITEABLE disks is a reality, one can finally utilize RW disks without the performance penalty of 2x/4x media.
Per other reviewers, make sure that a) your burners's firmware is up-to-date, and b) your burner supports a MINIMUM of 4x write speed to DVD+RW disks. I can confirm that the latter requirement -- stated on the packaging -- is a must. (My 1st-generation MacBook Pro 17" laptop, which has a burner that only supports 2x rewriting, refuses to burn these disks. That said, once they have been written to, my MacBook Pro reads them just fine.) |
