♥♥♥♥ Great DLP tv
I've had this for 2 days now, and I got it from a local store for a 'great' price! I still have SDTV input. I was afraid of how bad it might look, but I have to admit that the mits does a pretty good job at 4d noise reduction and up-conversion to 1080p.

I have a DENON avr receiver that upcoverts everything to component. I found that the circuity on the Mitsubishi does a better job than the denon's upcoversion.

DVDs look simply great on the mits. The dark detailer works wonders with dark low contrast areas on the screen.

I am getting 1080i cable in a couple of days. Will add follow up reviews then.

Now for the update : I have had this TV for a few months now. Everybody I know claim DLP is a dying breed, and this might be true. However I couldn't be happier with mine. I did not take the predatory service contracts and don't repent it either. I followed the tweaking tips that I found on AVS Forums and calibrated based on what some of the threads said. I set the TV at a 45 degree angle in a corner and now I have never had viewing angle problems. 1080i is great to watch on this TV. Lost, a show I casually watch before, has come alive and begun to intrigue me with its beautiful landscapes. Now I see what I was missing.

Infact I have stopped going to movies as much as DVD nights are now as good as movie nights!

Cons :
- Takes a while(about 45 sec - minute) to start and stop.
- As far as I can see there is no way to get Closed Caption working on 1080i/p input. (This could be something that I am not setting up right.)
